Would you like to understand the Bible better?

Would you like to study the Bible in a way that shows you how to truly follow Christ Jesus?

Our Church is for anyone who wants to grow his or her love for God, Christ, and mankind!

Each week we study a specially prepared Bible Lesson that explores the Science of Christianity and helps us understand and prove  the words and works of Christ Jesus. Then we meet on
Sunday at 11 am to worship and celebrate God who is Life, Truth, and Love!
Sunday School for children meets at the same time.

On Wednesday evenings we meet at 7:45 to give thanks and rejoice in our individual spiritual progress evidenced in healing, inspiration, and reformation!

We also have Bible Study classes to help newcomers get started studying the Bible.  These classes meet at various times on a weekly or biweekly basis.

We meet at the Christian Science Reading Room at Paseo Plaza, Suite A7 at 1805 E. Ruben Torres Blvd in Brownsville.

"Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbor as thyself."

                                                                                      Matthew 22:37

The important points of Christian Science are stated in our textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

1. As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.

2. We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God.  We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God's image and likeness.

3. We acknowledge God's forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that casts out evil as unreal.  But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts.

4. We acknowledge Jesus' atonement as evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man's unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.

5. We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.

6. And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure.
